Kenny Chesney
Boys of Fall,
Kenny Chesney's documentary about high school football, will premiere
Sunday (Aug. 29) on ESPN. He began working on the project in late 2009 as he compiled interviews and footage for the video
for his current single,
"The Boys of Fall." After shooting
footage of New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, a longtime friend, Chesney decided to expand the video into a full documentary
film. The 60-minute documentary includes footage from high school football games and interviews with several prominent
figures from college football and the NFL, including Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, John Madden, Tony Dungy, Bill Parcells,
Nick Saban, Mack Brown, Jim Tressel and Bobby Bowden. "Making this film had been an incredible journey for me and everyone
involved," Chesney said. "Interviewing the men in this film has made me look at my own life in a different way. I hope people
out there get as much out of watching this film as I did making it." His new album,
Hemingway's Whiskey, will be released
on Sept. 28.
