Doug Stone, a popular country artist in the 1990s, was arrested for DUI in Gallatin, Tenn., early Tuesday morning (Aug. 24). Stone was pulled over at 5 a.m. after local officers were called about a possible intoxicated driver, according to The Tennessean newspaper. Stone was jailed and released later that day on $3,000 bond. Stone will appear in court on Oct. 5. His hits include "I'd Be Better Off (In a Pine Box)," "In a Different Light," "Jukebox With a Country Song," "Too Busy Being in Love" and "Why Didn't I Think of That."
