Jamey Johnson
Radio personality Don Imus has announced the artists and track listing for
The Imus Ranch Record II, scheduled for
an Oct. 26 release on New West Records. The project features artists from a variety of genres performing songs chosen by the
radio personality.
Jamey Johnson's cover of Meat Loaf's "Two Out of Three
Ain't Bad" leads the album. Other selections include
Hayes Carll on
Roger
Miller's "King of the Road,"
Elizabeth Cook on "You Move Too Fast,"
Levon
Helm's "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Lot to Cry" and Sam Moore on "Bop." Other featured artists include
Delbert
McClinton,
Kinky Friedman and
Charlie Robison.
The project raises money for the Imus Ranch, founded by Don Imus and Dierdre Imus to provide the experience of the great American
cowboy to children suffering from cancer or serious blood disorders, and children who have lost siblings to sudden infant
death syndrome. The first
Imus Ranch Record was issued in 2008.
