Trace Adkins, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Elvis Presley are among the country artists with new compilations released Tuesday (Oct. 12). Adkins' Greatest Hits: Til the Last Shot's Fired collects 28 of his country singles for Capitol Nashville. Meanwhile, vintage gospel recordings by Cash, Parton and Presley have been reissued in Sony Legacy's Playlist series. Other new compilations include Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez's The New Bye & Bye -- The Best of the Train Wreck Years 2002-2007, with four new songs. In addition, a four-disc set titled The Rounder Records Story includes 87 tracks chosen from the label's 40-year history.
