Brad Paisley is writing a book, The Diary of a Player, about his musical heroes and influences. He's writing the book with Rolling Stone contributing editor David Wild. Scheduled for a May 2011 release, the book will be published by Howard Books, an imprint of Simon and Schuster. A press release states the book will be about Paisley's favorite guitarists from a variety of genres but also "the very personal story of how Paisley became who he is today." Paisley will release a double album of studio and concert recordings, Hits Alive, on Nov. 2.
