The grand opening of the
Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center is set for Nov. 3 in
Savannah, Tenn. Located on the campus of the Hardin Medical Center, the new facility has been planned since 2004. The Darryl
Worley Foundation, the medical center and the Hardin County Community and Healthcare Foundation have raised $1.7 million toward
their $2 million goal for the project. They hope to reach the total before work on the cancer treatment center is completed
early next year. Worley has raised money through his annual Tennessee River Run festival in Savannah. "The generosity of all
the donors from around the country and the Savannah area has been amazing," Worley said. "I think it's very surreal that this
has happened so fast and just confirms that we are doing God's work. This is a defining moment in my lifetime and career."
