Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift ranks second on
Billboard magazine's list of the
year's top artists, just behind Lady Gaga. Swift topped the list in 2009. The list compiles activity on the
Billboard
200 albums chart and the
Billboard Hot 100 singles list from the Dec. 5, 2009, issue through the Nov. 27, 2010, issue.
Eminem placed third, while
Lady Antebellum -- on the strength of the pop success of
"Need You Now" -- entered in fourth place. Nashville resident
Ke$ha placed fifth overall, but first in the Top New Artist ranking. Her hit, "Tik Tok," was named the No. 1 song of the year.
Susan Boyle's debut,
I Dreamed a Dream, was announced as the year's top-selling album, followed by Eminem's
Recovery,
Lady Antebellum's
Need You Now, Lady Gaga's
The Fame and Justin Bieber's
My World 2.0.
