Brad Paisley
Brad Paisley's electric guitar he donated to flood relief
has
reached a bid of $2,730, as of Thursday afternoon (Jan. 6). The auction is sponsored by Nash2O and proceeds will benefit
local flood relief and emergency responders. The guitar is featured in Paisley's video for
"Waitin'
on a Woman." Decorated in a black-and-gold paisley pattern and specially crafted by luthier Bill Crook, the guitar was
played often by Paisley in the studio, on tour and on television, including the 2008 CMA Awards. The guitar was damaged in
the Nashville flood in May, then donated to the Nash2O charity auction. Bidding will conclude Saturday (Jan. 8). Instruments
donated by Duane Eddy, Peter Frampton,
Vince Gill,
Kathy
Mattea and
Marty Stuart are
also
available at the auction. In addition, a rare Fender Lucite Esquire model filled with Cumberland River flood water has
reached $5,200 in bidding.
