Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood's husband, Mike Fisher, will join the Nashville Predators, the city's
hockey team. Fisher, who wed Underwood last year, formerly played for the Ottawa Senators. He will don the No. 12 jersey for
the Predators. David Poile, the team's president of hockey operations and general manager, announced Thursday (Feb. 10) that
Fisher will be exchanged for Nashville's first-round pick in the 2011 Entry Draft and a conditional pick in the 2012 Draft.
"We were seeking a Top 6 forward, and Mike Fisher was the player we set our sights on," Poile said. "He plays playoff-style
hockey all season long. He plays on the power play, kills penalties, is strong on draws and can match up against any opposing
line."
