Singer-songwriter
Brantley Gilbert has signed with the Valory Music Co., sister to
Big Machine Records and the label home of
Reba McEntire,
Jewel
and others. A Georgia native, Gilbert's latest project,
Halfway to Heaven, was released by Average Joe's Entertainment
and has spent 48 consecutive weeks on
Billboard's country albums chart. His songwriting credits include
Jason
Aldean's
"My Kinda Party." Gilbert included the song on
his 2009 debut album,
A Modern Day Prodigal Son. His first single for Valory will be released in April, with an album
scheduled for later this year. He'll be headlining the second stage at
Willie Nelson's
Country Throwdown tour this summer.
