Ronnie Dunn sang five new songs at a Country Radio Seminar showcase in Nashville on Thursday afternoon (March 3). It was Dunn's first public performance since Brooks & Dunn's farewell tour concluded last year. Dunn launched his five-song set with "Singing in a Cowboy Band," an up-tempo song about the life of a traveling musician. Bringing out a pair of female mariachi trumpeters from New Mexico, Dunn and his band offered a Latin-flavored "How Far to Waco," then slowed the pace for a romantic ballad, "Your Kind of Love." He concluded the performance with "Let the Cowboy Rock" and his debut single, "Bleed Red." Dunn's solo album is due in June on Sony Music, which sponsored the private showcase for radio programmers from across the nation. New artist Joanna Smith also performed a handful of songs, including her latest single, "Georgia Mud."
