Jewel and her unborn baby escaped injury after her vehicle collided with a firetruck near Stephenville, Texas, on Friday morning (March 11), according to the Stephenville Empire-Tribune newspaper. "The singer was taken to the hospital, and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine," her spokesperson said in a statement. The firetruck was responding to a grass fire in the rural area when it collided into the passenger side of Jewel's SUV. Jewel and her husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray, are expecting a boy. She announced her pregnancy in January during her second trimester.
