Carrie Underwood will appear this week on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her film, Soul Surfer, to be released in theaters nationally on Friday (April 8). Underwood stars as a church youth leader who provides encouragement in the real-life story of Bethany Hamilton, a champion surfer who returned to competition a month after losing her left arm in a 2003 shark attack. Underwood is not scheduled to perform Wednesday (April 6) on Tonight or Thursday on Ellen. Matthew Morrison, a star of Glee, will perform on Tonight, and singer-songwriter Josh Kelley is scheduled to perform on Ellen.
