Kenny Chesney
Kenny Chesney and his management and booking representatives donated
their concert fees and earnings to a tornado relief charity in Tuscaloosa, Ala., following his sold-out appearance there on
Wednesday night (May 25). During his set, Chesney shared the stage with songwriter
Mac
McAnally on "Back Where I Come From" and "Down the Road," both composed by McAnally. Chesney also performed "My Home's
in Alabama" by the country band
Alabama. "I'm so honored to have played Tuscaloosa
tonight," Chesney said. "This town has always been incredible to me, and they are really hurting now. I didn't know if we
were doing the right thing by doing the show, but after tonight, I am convinced that this town needed something to look forward
to, and I am so glad we played tonight." Contributions to the tornado relief fund may be made at givetuscaloosa.com.
