Swarms of country music fans packed downtown Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon Saturday afternoon (June 11) for the fifth annual
CMA Fan Social hosted by CMT. The free, three-hour concert featured performances by
Joe
Nichols,
Thompson Square,
Kristin
Chenoweth,
CMT's Next Superstar winner Matt
Mason,
the Civil Wars and
the
Harters. Each artist performed their newest singles and answered questions following their set. Thompson Square delighted
the crowd with their No. 1 hit
"Are You Gonna
Kiss Me or Not" as well as their newest single,
"I Got You."
Nichols closed the evening with an engaging seven-song set including a string of hits featuring
"Brokenheartsville,"
"Size Matters," "The
Impossible," "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking,"
"Gimmie That Girl"
and his latest single, "Take It Off." In fact, during
"Tequila
Makes Her Clothes Fall Off," a few enthusiastic fans threw articles of clothing onstage. "What are you gonna do after
that?" the singer joked. The event was hosted by
Top
20 Countdown host Evan Farmer.
