Trace Adkins
Proud to Be Here is the title of
Trace Adkins' new album to be
released Aug. 2. He confirmed the title Saturday night (June 11) during a performance at the
CMA
Music Festival in Nashville. Adkins recently released the album's first single, "Just Fishin'," a father's tribute to
his daughter written by Casey Beathard, Monty Criswell and Ed Hill. Produced by Kenny Beard and Mark Wright, the album features
10 songs. The deluxe edition of the album, available for presale on iTunes on July 12, includes four additional tracks, including
a duet with
Blake Shelton on "If I Was a Woman," a humorous song Adkins
and Beard co-wrote with Sherrie Austin and
Jeff Bates. Adkins' Nashville-area
home was destroyed by fire on June 4. After fans sought to send donations to his family, he asked that contributions be sent
to the American Red Cross via CMT One Country, CMT's the network's pro-social initiative, to assist those affected by recent
floods and tornadoes in the South.
