The first thing you notice is the whistling.
JT Hodges'
"Hunt
You Down" has a lot more going for it than that, like a quirky story line about one unforgettable night in Memphis, Tenn.
But for now, the country newcomer is content to get recognized as "the whistling guy." He jokes, "Hey, whatever gets you through
the door." A video shot in Memphis shows he'd like to get a little farther than that, though. Filmed on the city's famous
Beale Street, it gives life to the track with the blur of neon lights and carefree people who fill the street each night.
It's just the sort of situation Hodges sings about in "Hunt You Down," but it wasn't easy to get those perfect shots. As it
turns out, filming music videos is not allowed on Beale. You can come to your own conclusions as to the reason for that rule,
but needless to say, something had to be done. That's when Hodges found out sometimes it pays to have friends in
high
places. "We got a favor from the mayor," he says. "And it was awesome." Check out updates from JT Hodges in August at CMT
