Kevin Fowler's Chippin' Away is among the independent country albums released Tuesday (Aug. 9). Issued on Average Joe's Entertainment, the project includes the Texas musician's latest singles, "Hell Yeah, I Like Beer" and "That Girl." Fowler co-wrote eight of the album's 11 tracks. Other new independent albums include singer-songwriter Tom McBride's A Brief Head Spin, bluegrass group Nu-Blu's The Blu-Disc and Riders in the Sky's inspirational The Land Beyond the Sun.
