Guy Clark's Songs and Stories leads the new independent albums issued Tuesday (Aug. 16). Released by the Dualtone Music Group, the live album was recorded in Nashville and includes signature songs such as "The Randall Knife," "Homegrown Tomatoes" and "L.A. Freeway." Other new independent releases include young Texas songwriter Ariel Abshire's Still So New, bluegrass group Darin & Brook Aldridge's So Much in Between, the Bottle Rockets' Not So Loud: An Acoustic Evening With ..., eclectic ensemble Dead Man Winter's Bright Lights, bluegrass gospel group Rodney Dillard & the Dillard Band (featuring Beverly Dillard)'s Don't Wait for the Church and Australian country-rock band Wagons' Rumble, Shake & Tumble.
