
Buck Owens
Buck Owens' mid-1950s recordings made prior to signing with Capitol Records
will be released on CD on Sept. 27 on Rockbeat Records. Owens recorded for Pep, Chesterfield and La Brea Records prior to
finding national success on Capitol in 1959. The 24-track compilation includes alternate takes of numerous songs, including
"Down on the Corner of Love," "It Don't Show on Me," "The House Down the Block," "Right After the Dance," "Hot Dog" and "Sweethearts
in Heaven." The compilation was compiled by label executive James Austin and Jim Shaw of Buck Owens' Buckaroos. Owens was
inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996. He died in 2006.
