The Band Perry and Jake Owen will reveal the CMA Awards finalists in five categories on Good Morning America on Sept. 6. The announcement will be made in New York City during the 8:30 a.m. ET/PT segment of the broadcast. Owen will also sing "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" on the program. Later in the morning, Jerrod Niemann and Thompson Square will announce the remaining finalists during a press conference at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. In addition, the JaneDear Girls will announce the finalists for the 2011 CMA broadcast personality and radio station nominees in four categories (small, medium, large, and major markets), as well as the finalists for the CMA national broadcast personality.
