Daytime Emmy Award-winner Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been announced as host of CMT's new series, Angels Among Us, premiering Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Best known as a co-host of ABC's The View, Hasselbeck is the author of The New York Times bestseller, The G-Free Diet. Angels Among Us is four-episode series featuring everyday men and women who believe they were delivered from tragedy through angelic encounters. The true-life stories will be told through interviews with the survivors, eye-witness accounts and reenactments. Ranging from catastrophic car crashes to tornadoes, debilitating illnesses and the biggest terrorist attack in U.S. history, the show focuses on the tales of triumph told in the survivors' own words. The debut episode commemorates the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, featuring Genelle Guzman-McMillan, Ron DiFrancesco and John Yates, whose lives were forever changed when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
