Sugarland will take time off now that their Incredible Machine tour has ended,
singer Jennifer Nettles told reporters backstage at the
CMA Awards on Wednesday
night (Nov. 9). Asked about any progress with a new album, Nettles replied, "We're in the writing -- actually, we're in the
resting process. Let's be really frank. We just got off tour two weeks ago after two years of being on the Incredible Machine
tour and obviously after quite a tumultuous year, to say the least. We are taking a few months just to chill and relax and
sleep in our own beds and contemplate how we want to approach what's next." Sugarland claimed their fifth consecutive trophy
in the vocal duo category during the Wednesday night (Nov. 9) ceremony. Their album,
The Incredible Machine, was released
in October 2010.
