Danny Gokey and RCA Nashville have "mutually agreed to part ways," according to a statement provided by the record label to the Hollywood Reporter on Friday (Nov. 18). Gokey was a third-place contestant on American Idol in 2009, placing behind Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. Gokey released the singles "My Best Days Are Ahead of Me" and "I Will Not Say Goodbye" from his 2010 debut album, My Best Days. Although he did not have a current single, he opened more than a dozen shows on Taylor Swift's Speak Now tour this year.
