Willie
Nelson's upcoming album,
Heroes. Set for release on May 15, the 14-song album also features other collaborations
with
Merle Haggard,
Sheryl Crow,
Ray
Price,
Billy Joe Shaver and Nelson's sons, Lukas and Micah. Produced in Texas
by Buddy Cannon, the material ranges from classic country songs such as "My Window Faces the South" to Pearl Jam's "Just Breathe."
It also includes Coldplay's "The Scientist," recently featured in a short animated film produced for the Chipotle restaurant
chain.
Heroes is Nelson's first project since signing a new deal with Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music,
which will be issuing new recordings and compilations of previously-unreleased tracks.
