Lionel Richie's Tuskegee has been certified platinum for shipments of 1 million copies. The album of country duets was released March 26. Richie's project has also reached No. 1 in Canada, marking his first chart-topping album there since 1983's Can't Slow Down, the best-selling album in his catalog. Richie and the late Ray Charles are the only two artists in Billboard history to have No. 1 albums on both the country and R&B/hip-hop albums charts.
