George Jones was admitted to a Nashville-area hospital on Monday (May 21) with a lingering upper respiratory infection, according to the singer's spokesman. He was originally hospitalized for the infection on March 29 and returned home five days later. His concert dates for late May and June will be rescheduled. Jones will be unable to perform about seven scheduled concerts, including a Friday (May 25) appearance at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. It was his first scheduled performance since his initial hospitalization.
