The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville conducted a media preview Monday (June 4) of
Taylor
Swift Speak Now -- Treasures From the World Tour, a new exhibit which will be open for viewing from Thursday through
Nov. 4, 2012. Arrayed in glass-fronted showcases along the museum's second and third floors, the exhibit displays the stage
costumes Swift wore on the 2011 tour that took her to 82 cities in 19 countries on four continents. Also shown are some of
the nine instruments Swift played while on the tour, as well as the laptop computer on which she plotted elements of the Speak
Now show. Kyle Young, the museum's director, told the preview crowd Swift has had a longtime association with the facility
beginning with signing her contract with Big Machine Records there in the Hall of Fame rotunda. He noted her recently-announced
pledge of $4 million to the museum is "the largest donation from an individual artist in our 45-year history." The gift will
fund the construction of the Taylor Swift Education Center. It is scheduled to open in 2014.
