Tim McGraw is planning to release his first album for Big Machine Records this year, he told reporters at a Saturday (June 23) luncheon in Nashville prior to his Brothers of the Sun tour stop with Kenny Chesney at LP Field. He noted the project is in the mixing stages and that he's working with longtime producer Byron Gallimore. He added that new music will be sent to radio "very soon" and that three to five songs on the new album are being considered for the lead single. Asked if he knew how many more singles would be released from Emotional Traffic, his final album on Curb, McGraw said he had no idea.
