Kix Brooks will release a solo album, New to This Town, on Sept. 11 on Arista Nashville. Brooks produced the album, with co-production by Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus on the title track. Brooks co-wrote nine of the 12 songs on the album. He will make his solo debut on the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday (July 10). The title track, featuring Joe Walsh, is currently in the Top 40 at country radio. Prior to forming Brooks & Dunn, Brooks released a solo album on Capitol Nashville in 1989.
