The Academy of Country Music has pledged $2.5 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's expansion efforts. The gift will fund the ACM Contemporary Gallery, which will examine modern developments and current trends in country music. As part of their Working on a Building capital campaign, the museum's expansion will increase the property from 140,000 square feet to 350,000 square feet. So far, $70 million has been pledged to the museum. The expansion is expected to be completed in 2014.
