The Mavericks
The
Mavericks will release their new album,
In Time, on Sept. 25 on the Valory
Music Co. It's the group's first album of new material since a self-titled release in 2003. The new project includes their
current single,
"Born to Be Blue," written by Mavericks'
lead singer
Raul Malo and James House. Malo wrote or co-wrote all 10 of the album's tracks.
"The idea that we came together and made this record is a testament to faith, fate and chance," Malo said. "All three were
essential in the making of
In Time. In turn, this is the record we are most proud of." The Mavericks won CMA Awards
in 1995 and 1996 for vocal group of the year.
