Emmylou Harris
Emmylou Harris and guitarist Albert Lee will make guest appearances when
Vince
Gill,
Rodney Crowell and other members of the Notorious Cherry Bombs reunite
for an Aug. 21 concert to benefit the Rising Star Music Fund. The nonprofit organization provides grants and funding for children's
music programs throughout the U.S. The concert will also honor record executive Bob Mercer, who died in 2010. The Cherry Bombs
formed in the early '80s and served as a backing band for Crowell and his then-wife
Rosanne
Cash. The band lineup for the show at Nashville's 3rd & Lindsley club will include keyboardist Tony Brown, drummer
Eddie Bayers, bassist Michael Rhodes and steel guitarist Paul Franklin.
