George Jones will retire from touring in 2013, he announced Tuesday (Aug. 14). "It is tough to stop doing what I love, but the time has come," Jones said in a statement. Although Jones' farewell tour is expected to visit 60 cities, the specific dates and venues have not been announced. Jones has titled it the Grand Tour, after his enduring No. 1 hit from 1974. In addition, Jones plans to record a new album, and Dolly Parton has been writing songs for him. Jones canceled numerous tour dates earlier this year following an upper respiratory infection, but he has since resumed his touring. His next scheduled concert will take place on Friday (Aug. 17) in Savannah, Ga.
