Wynonna will resume her touring schedule this week, marking her first performances after her husband Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser was seriously injured in an Aug. 18 motorcycle accident in South Dakota. She'll appear Thursday (Aug. 30) at the Leelanau Sands Casino in Peshawbestown, Mich., and Saturday at the Walworth County Fair in Elkhorn, Wis. Moser, a former member of the band Highway 101, played drums in his wife's band, the Big Noise. His left leg was amputated after sustaining injuries when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car prior to a concert appearance. Wynonna will continue her tour dates through the end of September and return to the road in November for a holiday tour. "Cactus continues to improve every day as he begins his road to rehabilitation," she said in a statement. "We are looking forward to the day when we will be back together onstage again, and I believe we will be stronger than ever. Until then, I will be out on the road with the rest of the band while I wait lovingly and patiently for my husband to return to the Big Noise." In lieu of flowers, gifts and cards, Moser has requested that donations in his name be made to Homes for Our Troops, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to helping military personnel who have returned home with serious disabilities.
