The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame will soon have a permanent home in the Music City Center, a new convention center under
construction in downtown Nashville. Although the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame was established in 1970 and now includes
184 members, it never existed as a physical place where visitors could view memorabilia and media displays. The space in the
convention center will feature songwriting artifacts and touch screens that will allow visitors to access sound, video and
other digital information about the history of the Nashville songwriting community. To help finance the project, the Nashville
Songwriters Hall of Fame Foundation will launch a capital campaign Sunday (Oct. 7) during its annual Hall of Fame dinner and
induction ceremony. The Hall of Fame is expected to be completed when the Music City Center opens in the spring of 2013.
