George Jones has canceled his weekend concert appearances due to illness. His show in Mahnomen, Minn., scheduled for Friday night (Nov. 2) will not be rescheduled, according to the venue. However, his Saturday night concert scheduled for Deadwood, S.D., will be postponed with a new date to be announced, according to that venue's website. Jones has canceled numerous tour dates and appearances this year due to respiratory issues. A statement from Jones' management posted on the Minnesota venue's website indicates that Jones is being treated by doctors for a virus.
