Ashley Monroe will digitally
release her first solo album,
Like a Rose, on Dec. 18 on Warner Music Nashville. Physical copies of the album will
be in stores Jan. 22. Produced by
Vince Gill and Justin Niebank, all of the project's tracks
were written or co-written by Monroe.
Guy Clark shares credit for the title track, while
Jon Randall Stewart and Shane McAnally also contribute songs.
Blake
Shelton is featured in a duet with Monroe titled "You Ain't Dolly (And You Ain't Porter.)" Monroe had previously released
two EPs and appeared as a guest on numerous albums, while the Pistol Annies -- her group with
Miranda
Lambert and Angaleena Presley -- hit No. 1 on
Billboard's country albums chart with
Hell on Heels in 2011.
