New York City has its own country music radio station for the first time since 1996, following the launch of WRXP by Cumulus
Media on Monday (Jan. 21). Branded as Nash-FM, the first hour of broadcast on 94.7 FM included current hits like Randy
Houser's "How Country Feels" and Brad
Paisley's "Southern Comfort Zone," as well as classics
from the 1990s, such as Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places" and Brooks & Dunn's "Boot
Scootin' Boogie," according to Billboard.
