Pistol Annies
The
Pistol Annies' second album,
Annie Up, will be released
May 7, the trio announced Tuesday (March 12). It follows their critically-acclaimed
Hell on Heels which debuted in
August 2011. Tracks on the new album include "Unhappily Married" and the project's first single, "Hush, Hush," which was shipped
to country radio stations this week. The Pistol Annies feature
Miranda
Lambert,
Ashley Monroe and
Angaleena
Presley. "We laid it on the line with
Hell on Heels, and we wanted to bring it again on this album," Lambert said.
Monroe, who last week released her solo album
Like a Rose, added "We put all our musical chips on the table, so we
thought
Annie Up was a good title."
