backed up the critical acclaim of her new solo album,
Like a Rose, with a performance at MTV/VH1/CMT Present: Live in Austin, a showcase at the South by Southwest music
conference. The Tennessee native and her band performed several songs from the album, including "Weed Instead of Roses" and
the title track, during the Tuesday night (March 12) concert at the Control Room in downtown Austin. Released last week,
Like
a Rose debuted in the Top 10 of the
Billboard country albums chart. The concert, which called attention to the
MTV, VH1 and CMT online artist platform, also featured
