Motherhood. That is definitely something Kelly Clarkson is going to be thankful for next week -- and every Thanksgiving from now on. She's going to have a baby, she announced Tuesday evening (Nov. 19).

"I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)," she tweeted.
The father is Clarkson's husband Brandon Blackstock, whom she married on Oct. 20 in Walland, Tenn. Remember the details? She wore a Temperley gown, a Swarovski crystal and mother-of-pearl headpiece, her 4.24-carat flawless diamond ring, and she carried sunflowers? Blackstock wore a nice-looking suit, plus the white gold ring Clarkson designed for him. According to People magazine, the ring has six sapphires around it to represent six special things in their lives. Maybe now they'll add a seventh sapphire.
Blackstock is Blake Shelton's manager and the stepson of Reba McEntire. He has two children, Savannah, 12, and Seth, 8, from his previous marriage.
Lately, Clarkson had been dropping serious hints that a baby was on her mind. She told People, "We want to have more children. That's the best part. It's a new chapter in my life."
And when she was on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last week, Clarkson acknowledged she and Blackstock were working on it.
"Practice makes perfect!" she said. "We're trying, trying, trying ... like rabbits. We are not announcing anything right now! We're not, no."
If Clarkson was 100 percent sure of the pregnancy last week, it must have been so difficult for her to keep the good news to herself. But she did admit to Leno that for the first time, she was genuinely into the idea of having a baby. Or more.
"I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five," she said.
