CHICKEN WINGS
2 1/2 pounds chicken wings
1 bottle Fred's Hot Sauce
1 stick butter,
melted
Wash wings. Clip off excess skin. Place wings in a 9 x 13 foil lined casserole. Cover with Fred's Hot Sauce.
Cover with butter. Bake at 450 for one hour. Remove from oven. Lower temp to 350. Turn wings and drag through sauce.
Cook 15 minutes longer.
PIMENTO CHEESE
1 pound sharp cheddar cheese
1 (4 oz.) jar chopped pimento's
Less than a cup of Miracle Whip Salad Dressing
2 t sugar
1 t apple cider vinegar
Have ingredients at room temp.
Combine ingredients.
Store in a refrigerator in a closed container. We spread
the pimento cheese on white bread at
a picnic or in the kitchen.
DEVILED EGGS
8 eggs, boiled, peeled and sliced longways
1/2 t salt or to
taste
1/2 t pepper
2 T vinegar
2 T Miracle Whip
Separate whites and yolks. Mash yolks with a fork. Add
ingredients
being careful not to add too much of anything. With deviled eggs, I think tasting is important.
VEGGIES &
DIP
Chop up 1 yellow squash, 1/2 cup whole grape tomatoes, 1 cup chopped broccoli flowers, 1 cup caluiflower, 1 cup
sliced celery, 1/2 sliced green pepper.
If you're in a hurry, I suggest to use bottled Ranch or Bleu cheese dressing for
dipping.
BAKED BEANS
1 large can pork and beans
Pour into a round casserole. Stir in grease from 6 slices
of cooked bacon. Add 3 T brown sugar, 1/4 cup catsup,
1/4 cup finely chopped onions. Cook 40 minutes at 350.
Slice
melons in small pieces. Serve in a large glass bowl. The only thing better than melons for dessert at a picnic is homemade
ice cream --- that's for another day.
