    • All genres of music are accepted and encouraged.
    • The entry cost is $35 per song for NSAI members and $45 per song for all non-NSAI members.
    • Multiple entries are accepted.
    • All entries must be postmarked by the CONTEST DEADLINE: 11:59 p.m. CDST Oct. 31, 2017 (05:59pm UK time on 1 November 2017).
    • Judges are comprised of Music Industry Professionals, Professional Songwriters. Songs are judged based on lyrics, melody and composition. Performance and production will not be evaluated.
    • Prizes are awarded to one (1) CMT Grand Prize Winner, one (1) Lyric-Only Winner, one (1) Lyric-Only Runner Up, ten (10) Runners-Up and ten (10) Honorable Mentions. All songs entered receive a personalized score sheet.

  • Maren Morris - Grand Prize Mentor
    At only 27 years old, singer-songwriter Maren Morris has achieved milestones that many artists dream of. After releasing her debut album in 2016, the gold-certified Hero, after only a week, it entered the Billboard Country Albums chart at No. 1 and No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, which spans across all genres. Morris' debut single from Hero, "My Church," set a record at Country radio by having the most chart reporting stations to play a debut single by a country artist with 107 stations the week it hit the airwaves in addition to being certified Platinum by the RIAA. 2017 has seen continued success for the Arlington, Texas native as Morris has taken home several awards including the 2017 Grammy for best country solo performance for "My Church" and the 2017 ACM Award for new female vocalist of the year, and she was named Radio Disney's best new country artist at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.
