Full Biography

  1. This native New Jersey girl has come a long way to the South. She performed in bars and coffee houses through college and put her first band together shortly thereafter. After showcasing in New York City for a season, her dream of landing a publishing/recording deal materialized in the 1990s when she signed with Zomba Music and RCA Records, taking her and her husband to Nashville, where she currently resides. Parent has come a long way, and her credits now include singing backup for many of today's biggest country stars including Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Sugarland and Tanya Tucker and has been one of the most sought after singers in Nashville for some years now. She has received the coveted all-star vocalist award from Nashville's' Music Row publication. When not on The Singing Bee, she tours with legendary country act, Brooks & Dunn. In 2009, she crossed another milestone in her career when she was chosen from hundreds of applicants to be part of a house band for The Singing Bee.
