  1. Despite a modest frame of only 5 feet, 3 inches and 115 pounds, Christmas Abbott boasts quite a body of work. A business owner, CrossFit competitor and most recently a NASCAR pit crew front tire changer, Abbott displays a balancing act that few could execute with such charisma.

Since beginning CrossFit, she has become a member of the highly-respected CrossFit Headquarter Seminar Staff and led her team to the Mid-Atlantic Regionals for the CrossFit games the last three years, including two qualifications for the CrossFit Games. Currently, her team is poised to make another run in the regionals in June, with ambitions of once again qualifying for the games in California.

Most recently, Abbott embraced a challenge to change tires for NASCAR pit crews. A mostly unexplored world for women, she is already rising in the ranks of the sport's elite, signing to her first Sprint Cup team, Michael Waltrip Racing, within months of changing her first tire.

While she has shifted gears to accommodate the new challenges of NASCAR pit crews, Abbott certainly has not lost her passion for CrossFit. In the coming months, she plans to open another CrossFit box, CrossFit Ingenium, north of Charlotte, N.C., which will be the first of its kind, as it will include a pit crew training school as well as the traditional CrossFit class structure. While settling into Charlotte, she is also preparing to launch her recently formed not-for-profit. The Hand and Heart Alliance will aim to build a bridge between CrossFitters and people, specifically children, in need in local communities.
