Beth Chapman has been in the bail bonds business for over 20 years, where she has owned and operated numerous bail bond businesses nationwide. Having become a licensed bondsman at the tender age of 21, which at the time made her the youngest person licensed in Colorado, Beth is a seasoned professional in the business and an expert in pre-trial release. Following nearly a decade on the hit reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter, Beth has been tracking down the world's most sought-after criminals and bringing them to justice. This year, Beth and her husband Dog are back with a vengeance in their new series, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt, on CMT. Bold, blond and brave, these two continue to hone in on their niche for uncovering fugitives amidst the wildest of scenarios to keep our streets safe. Beth's initial reason for working in bail bonds was none other than Dog, the best bounty hunter in Denver. Beth attributes her unyielding outlook on life to her mother and feels blessed to have been able to overcome adversities in her life and to be in the position to help others do the same. She's a firm believer that life is all about a second chance.
In addition to bail bonds and bounty hunting, Beth is the acting president of the Hawaii Bail Bonds Association, a certified A.D.A.D (Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor) for the Arapahoe House Foundation and owns and operates several retail and online stores. She was elected to serve as the senior vice president of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS), who serve 15,000 bail agents across the nation and have been instrumental in stopping the SB186 in the Colorado General Assembly. She also served on the board of Professional Bail Agents of Colorado (PBAC). A registered lobbyist, she remains politically active, fighting for bail bondsman's rights. Beth also donates her time to support many charities worldwide such as the Mooseheart Child City & School, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, a nonprofit organization designated to finding a cure for breast cancer. Beth is married to Duane "Dog" Chapman and is the mother of four children.
Dakota Chapman is Leland's oldest son and the newest member of the team. He's a third generation bounty hunter, and is always training to sharpen his skills. He's a licensed bondsman, and already plays an essential role on the hunt.
The "Dog" is back and bringing a bigger bite than ever before in Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.
Considered one of the greatest bounty hunters in the world by many, this ex-con turned icon could easily be dubbed "The King of Comebacks." Credited with more than 7,000 captures throughout the course of his illustrious 40-year bounty hunting career, Dog continues to prove that people really do change.
Over the course of his legendary career, Dog has been responsible for the capture of notable high-profile criminals such as Quinton Wortham -- the Capital Hill rapist, the Atlanta Child Murderer and a white supremacist convicted of murdering Denver radio shock jock Alan Berg. Dog's career as a bounty hunter gained national attention after catching infamous fugitive and Max Factor Cosmetics heirAndrew Luster who was wanted on 87 counts of rape. The infamy of Luster's capture soon led to many high profile television appearances and later, the long-running reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Dog is the author of two best-selling books -- Where Mercy Is Shown, Mercy Is Given and his memoir You Can Run But You Can't Hide. The memoir debuted on the New York Times best-seller list in the No. 1 position where it remained for several weeks. It garnered great reviews for his candid honesty and detailed personal accounts of overcoming hardships and bettering oneself. When he's not bounty hunting, Dog tours the country giving motivational speeches to crowds by the thousands and participates in the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is the charity's most requested celebrity and is the proud father of 12 children and 14 grandchildren.
Now, having made bounty hunting his life's work for close to four decades, Dog, his wife and business partner Beth and son, Leland, are back in their new series, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt, as they continue their tireless efforts in bringing the bad guys to justice and encouraging them to turn their lives around.
Leland Chapman is the son of Duane "Dog" Chapman and is most well-known for his role on Dog the Bounty Hunter. After leading a troubled teenage life, Leland decided to turn things around and join forces with his father at 17 to assist in various bounty hunting missions. Leland, along with his father and team, are credited with the capture of Max Factor Cosmetics heir Andrew Luster in Mexico. Leland is a trained security specialist, having trained with some of the top law enforcement agencies in the country. He is a highly skilled competitive fighter having mastered the boxing, kick-boxing and mixed martial arts disciplines. Similarly to his father and Beth, Leland is keen on giving back. He provides counseling to at-risk youth and donates proceeds of the revenue generated via appearances and television shows back to the community. Apart from his bounty hunting career, Leland has begun a career in modeling, most recently appearing in both French and Italian Vogue magazine. Leland is the father of three children and maintains a close-knit relationship with all members of his family but none more so than his father, Dog. Throughout the years, father and son have managed to overcome the ups and downs to now find themselves closer than ever. Leland will rejoin forces with Dog and Beth for Dog and Beth: On the Hunt.
