Tonja Murphy has lived in Jackson, Miss., her whole life but never owned a home. After divorcing her husband last year, she
was forced to move her children back into her parent's house. Murphy shares not only a room but a bed with her 15-year-old
daughter, Alex, and her two boys, Jordan, age 4, and Gregory, age 6. Living with her parents was supposed to be temporary,
but because of her financial situation, Murphy and her family continue to live there. Tired of feeling like a burden to her
parents, she needed to find a way out.
Murphy's finally going to get her chance to start over with the help of John Littlefield, Heather Simpson, the Habitat for
Humanity Home Blitz Build Team and country music sensation LeAnn Rimes. In two short weeks, the Murphy family will be moving
from one bedroom to a three-bedroom dream house.
