Katie Cook joined CMT in 2002 as co-host for the weekly live series CMT Most Wanted Live. Since joining CMT, she has hosted many series and specials, including MWL Star, MWL Stacked and the MWL Special concert series. Currently, she is hosting CMT's weekly entertainment magazine show CMT Insider. Allison DeMarcus began working with Country Music Television in January 2007 when she co-host the Miss America Pageant with Mario Lopez live from Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. While there, she served as the pageant correspondent filming all of the behind-the-scenes footage for CMT Insider. Named one of Nashville's 25 Most Beautiful People by Nashville Lifestyle, DeMarcus is currently a correspondent for CMT's hit show, CMT Insider, and also hosts her own show, People Magazine on CMT. She has been featured in three People magazine issues to promote her show and was recently named Nashville Lifestyle's Person of Style. DeMarcus serves as CMT's red carpet correspondent covering the AMA, CMA, ACM and CMT Music Awards and and has appeared on numerous CMT programs including 100 Greatest Videos, 40 Sexiest Videos, Video Babes: Secrets Revealed and Karaoke Dokey. DeMarcus has also served as a correspondent for CMT's Top 20 Countdown, hosted CMT's Extreme Home Makeover: Quickbooks Edition and is featured in CMT's Summer of Music campaign. DeMarcus is a former Miss Tennessee and Miss Tennessee USA. While reigning as Miss Tennessee USA, she began modeling and commercial work, landing the lead role in a music video for the multiplatinum country group, Rascal Flatts. The video for the No. 1 country song, "These Days," won group video of the year at the CMT Music Awards. DeMarcus was named CMT Video Babe for her performance and appeared in CMT's Video Babes special. Her experiences as an on-air personality have compelled DeMarcus to spend time off-camera on philanthropic and social issues close to her heart. She is currently serving on the board of directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Chi Omega Fraternity's national recruitment team, the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant board and is also involved with Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, Nashville Humane Association and the Oasis Center of Nashville. She is married to Jay DeMarcus of the CMA, ACM and CMT vocal group of the year, Rascal Flatts. |
