Total Access: Miss America is a behind-the-scenes look at the interesting, entertaining and fast-paced life of the reigning Miss America, Jennifer Berry. The show follows her as she travels 20,000 miles a month to advance her platform issue -- the fight to eliminate drunk driving and underage drinking -- and to participate in major sporting events, fund raisers, pageants and various activities in conjunction with the Miss America Organization. We meet up with Jennifer as she delivers a speech to law enforcement in Philadelphia, join her as she takes part in a NASCAR race in upstate New York and travel with her to Orlando, Fla., where she hosts the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant with 'N Sync heartthrob Joey Fatone. We continue to Baltimore where she hits the streets with teens and law enforcement to conduct compliance checks: undercover operations in which teens attempt to purchase alcohol. We also go shopping with her at a local Baltimore mall and see her throw out the first pitch at a Baltimore Orioles game. In California, we're with Jennifer as she travels to several military bases to tour the facilities, give speeches and meet the troops. We watch as she participates in the taping of Pageant School: Becoming Miss America, a new CMT show featuring the upcoming Miss America contestants. Taking a break from her official Miss America duties, we tour Hollywood with Jennifer and Hollywood's honorary mayor Johnny Grant, watch noted chef Kerry Simon of Simon LA teach her how to make gourmet macaroni and cheese (her favorite food) and even see Berry don a wet suit and take a surfing lesson with professional surfer and rock star, Donavon Frankenreiter. By the end of Total Access: Miss America, we'll have a much greater appreciation for the valuable work being done by Miss America and see the real woman beneath the crown.
